Italian course enrolment general conditions
1. ENROLLMENT AND PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Enrollment
To confirm the student’s enrollment, an initial deposit of 140 euro is required and can be arranged via bank transfer or personal cheque. Proof of payment must be sent to the Accademia via fax or e-mail in addition to the completed application form.
Payment
The student must pay the remaining balance of the course fee, accomodation fee and any other service fee that they have booked. The remaining balance must be paid in cash or by credit card on the Course Start Date.
Alternatively, the student can pay the tuition fee in advance (50% or 100% of the course fee) by bank-transfer.
2. COURSE
Lessons take place from Monday to Friday, 9:00-13:00 (coffee break between 11:00-11:30).
- In the case where the timetable has to be changed, the Accademia will inform the student in advance.
- The maximum classroom capacity is 12 students.
- Please note that in the circumstance where a class is composed of one or two student(s) at the same level, the duration of daily lessons is 2 hours not 4 hours.
On the Course Start Date, every student shall write an entry test to determine the appropriate level of study. Students should be at school by 9.00 am on the start day of their study stay.
The school is open for the student’s convenience from 9:00 to 13:30 then 15:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 to 13:30 on Friday.
3. COURSE CANCELLATION
In the case of a cancellation, the Accademia must be notified 15 working days (not including Saturday and Sunday) prior to the course start date via e-mail or fax. The Accademia shall grant a reimbursement to the student. There will be a cancellation fee of 40 euro.
If the course cancellation is communicated to the Accademia later than 15 days prior to the planned Course Start Date, the Accademia will hold 140 euros from the deposit, which can be used again by the student for a later enrollment (to be used within a 24 month period).
4. COURSE INTERRUPTION
Students will not receive any reimbursement in case of interruption of the course or intermittent or discontinued attendance of the course.
5. COURSES OF LONGER THAN 4 WEEKS
If the course duration exceeds a period of 4 weeks, the payment for the course and accommodation fees must be made in blocks of 4 weeks, on the first day of the new block period.
6. CHANGES IN COURSE STARTING DATES
Students can freely change their start and end dates and their period of frequency of the course. They must inform the Administration Department of these changes before the starting date of their course.
7. ACCOMMODATION (organized by the school)
Check-in to the reserved accommodation is Sunday and check-out is Saturday. Early check-in and late check-out is available. The student must arrange and pay for extra night(s) for the accommodation to the Accademia.
If you reserve accommodation for a shorter period than your course, and then wish to extend it, you must give us at least 2 weeks' notice. We will do our best to extend it, but we cannot guarantee to do so.
The school handles all payments to the host family/flat owners.
We usually send accommodation details about 7 days before the start of the course.
Over night guests at the student’s accommodation is prohibited.
Should the student leave the accommodation prior the Accommodation Period End Date as stated above, a reimbursement shall not be granted.
If you cancel your homestay with less than 1 week's notice, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of 1 week's rent.
Any changes made to your booking while your staying are subject to an administration fee of 100,00 euros.
The student is responsible for any injuries and/or damages to the accommodation.
8. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SCHOOL
The School declines any responsibility for injuries sustained by the student or damage to their property, either within the school premises or during outside activities organized by the Accademia.
9. YOUR ARRIVAL
The school provides a transfer service from Naples/Salerno train station or the Naples airport to the students’ accommodation.
For those students who have booked their accommodations in a student flat, please note that if the transfer service is not required, the keys to your accommodation can be obtained at the Salerno railway station at 14:30 or at 20:00. If you arrive after 20:00, please book our transfer service. In case of any delay not communicated to the Accademia, the transfer service will not be granted.
